Delete Your MaskQ Account
Last updated: 28 October 2026
You can delete your MaskQ account and the personal information associated with it at any time. We respect your control over your data.
Delete from within the app
- Open MaskQ and sign in.
- Go to your account settings.
- Select Delete account and confirm the request.
The current implementation deactivates your account, revokes your sessions, and schedules your identity record for deletion after a 30-day grace period. A scheduled purge performs the deletion. Group membership and participation records are removed from active use; aggregate survey results remain unchanged. Contact support about recovery during the grace period; restoring an account does not promise restoration of earlier group membership.
What is removed:
- Your email address
- Your account profile
- Your group memberships
- Your per-group masked names (pseudonyms)
- Your has-voted records
What is retained briefly:
- Limited security and audit logs, for a short period
- Aggregate results, which contain no identifiers
- Anything we are required to keep under a legal hold
If you cannot access the app
If you are unable to access your account, email us at support@neuralnestsolutions.com from the email address on your MaskQ account and ask us to delete it. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
What happens to your responses
Because responses in MaskQ are anonymous and stored only as part of aggregate results - never tied to your identity or masked name - individual votes cannot be singled out and removed. Aggregate results, which contain no personal identifiers, may remain as part of a group's record after your account is deleted.
Because your responses were never linked to you, there is nothing identifying you left in those aggregate results to remove - this is part of how MaskQ protects your anonymity.
Timing
Identity records are scheduled for purge after the 30-day grace period. Security records, support tickets, and backups may be retained for a limited period where needed for security, support, or legal obligations.
